So I've had a pretty crazy day today. From 11 to 3 I worked on my typeface and a bit on thesis. I'm still really far behind even on my strict schedule (1 hour for x, timer goes off, move to next thing).
It's just that things take longer than I want them to, I guess.
I want to have 15 to 20 solid logos for my professor by Monday -- ones that we can move forwards with... since I am behind.

(2/20)
Things are going to be pure chaos from here until the end of the semester. I'm not entirely sure how I'll survive since I'm already only sleeping for about 2 hours a day, but we'll see how it goes. I'm not complaining, but pre-emptively I don't want any comments about "omg go to sleep" either. I know how important sleep is, thanks.
I'm sure I'm being inefficient (mind tends to wander//facebook) so hopefully if i tighten that up, things will go well.
Today was successful in that I forced my typeface to a visual x-height, where it was wobbling before. It took me an entire hour to make the X/x.

I'm hoping y and z will go faster. I also did a capital T today.
I also grabbed a Cannon Rebel from school, and went down to Vistek, a camera supply store, and bought a light tent. A light tent is a little cube you shine lights through, and it's how they photograph art on white backgrounds and product shots and shit. It was a bit expensive but i've needed one for years and I'm fed-up enough with photoshopping and hacks and natural sunlight to justify the cost.
I'm going to need it for some portfolio work and my final typography project, which involves filming caramel on a glass plate.
I also have to code the CBC website for class, create a mini "promotional" piece, design a poster for my typeface, do a process book for thesis, create a form for a very complex outpatient cancer treatment, and handle my clients.
